Happy Pills - Border
The beast arrived upon the enriched, soft soil with a steady, free-willed mind at rest, his tempo of breath slow and fragile despite his chest beating at adventurously high speeds. His long legs had carried him here, all four, equally bringing him and his weight to a finally halt to behold the lands before his eyes as a source behind his younger companion's whereabouts. This life was none other than the product of his forgotten brother - she would not know him as would equally he, perhaps the two could get to know each other by that one small common quality they share. According to his theory, if he bribed the girl with knowledge of her blood parents, maybe she'd ease into the presence of his new found face and begin to take a liking to the uncle she once never learned to have, nor knew she possessed. His pelt smelt of fine herbs and fresh minty leaves, all blended perfectly into his thick, luscious coat of colors. Pelt of a lovely autumn shade, swirls of handsome browns and crimsons highlighted his sides and maw, framing the contours of his face to almost perfection - embodying the charming image of a brute to a whole, he could not appear more flawless than that. Flicking his tongue out of his maw and lapping at his cheek, his ears rotated in slow intervals, eyes of a golden whiskey orange as they reflected the light that shimmered from the treetops above. A low growl whispered in and out of his lips as he breathed through his mouth, paws shifting steadily in place as he found several ways to keep still, though could not muster the patience to do so before the dividing line.
Standing at the threshold, he knelt his head low to the ground, having been stepped at the full height of ten feet as a brute and ranging depending on what way his ears pointed, his nose snuffed a whiff of the earth and surrounding territory. ...We've come to the right place.. said his counterpart behind a rasped throat, to what none other could be compared with asides the demon himself, though this man was of no danger to anyone, at least not now, nor did he ever wish to allow that to happen in future time. As of now, he was surely a Guardian of the people, one for the crowds and pleasing others to what would then guide him, just as he had always done since he was a babe. But now he sought to find only one member of this growing clan, smelling its lack of numbers and there of herbs in the area, to what he found to be behind the absence of a proper working mender. The healer proudly rose his head and muzzle to the sky, eyes gazing upon the fluffed clouds in the blue atmosphere with a innocent interest before his lids slowly shut as his lips formed to a beautiful howling song through the daylight. His vocal cords were known to have one of the manliest, and most charming songs of them all from where he originally resided, but to now, perhaps it was only another tune for the likes of someone to enjoy every so often. When the whimsical sound ceased to exist and silence soon reigned strong amongst his presence, he practiced a respectful display and allowed his inner self to relax as best he could before the likes of a superior would walk his way. Tail swayed behind him at his hind legs, his ears narrowed against his head and his muzzle lowered to the ground once more. Eyes still closed, he relied on the sounds and scent of the territory to indicate another's arrival. Until then, he would stay like this and remain still in bowing form.

Re: Happy Pills - Border
The wolf was resting in the woods, a gentle sleep settling over her body. It dusted the world in lovely colors when her eyes were shut to examine the brilliance of time between peace and activity. Daylight twinkled above her like stars in the thick brush and her eyes squinted when a beam happened to touch the lid. She was a mass of fur reminding one of arctic times followed by the cold bite of frost. The alphess was a mass against the ground, her large body claiming the grass that settled beneath. As she dozed, then sun returned and set her aglow. She was a soul waiting to be gleaned from a body so turmoiled, but she wouldn’t let herself be taken so easily. As a wolf she had no reason to keep her human in; it could get crowded when two existed in one. Her mouth parts as she panted, asleep in her own right. It was the human within her that was freed to dance and remember happier times. The clock ticked backwards in this internal world, warming her from the inside and out. She remembered herself a fumbling toddler, chasing butterflies across meadows until she was swept up into her mother’s arms. Things were simple then. It wasn’t so hard to imagine her future because she saw it so clearly. It was bleary now, as if a fog had settled over the viewing room. Too thick was it for her to make out even the most distinct image, but by her side she felt a presence. It was a presence from herself, a part of herself, and she clung to her daughter’s hand so tightly it hurt sometimes. Teimhnin felt reassured until the dream changed and her daughter’s hand was suddenly just gone, replaced by that monster that had claimed her at such a young age. She saw the man she loved step out the door and she was relieved to at least know what had happened, but in reality she had no clue. Her son was soon to follow, and she was left with those green eyes that held nothing. All at once Teimhnin knew it wasn’t a mask; there was simply nothing to be found in those eyes. They were dead, hollow, and they struck her through the heart when she knew that this entity kept itself stored in a person she held so dear.
The Alphess woke with a start and a shudder, her paw rising to rub at her face. She’d remained a wolf for a while now and guessed it had been about a week since she’d taken upon a human form. Her wolf was still resistant to keep her in the form she wished, but with some forcing she’d been able to hold it. The human form had been held too long, and it was sapping all her energy to force the creature within her out. She wished her wolf would just wish to be this way, but she also knew that the animal needed to awaken and just be there like a partner. They’d been equal parts before, she saw no reason as to why they could not be now. Deep down she knew, but the week had been enough for her to get over that phase of tears. There was more than she knew to worry about; the disappearance told her that well enough. The dwindling numbers within her family came first, and so the alphess shoved herself up and began her day with a border patrol. A little pang in her gut told her that she needed to eat, but she pushed it back for later. Steak sounded good; she could invite the pack to have a nice lil grill out. She wanted to bring on a few practice spars in the yard for some good old-fashioned fun. Teimhnin imagined a juicy steak between her teeth until the air held a scent she could not ignore, her head tilting up to inhale deeply before padding in its direction. When she arrived, the hair on her spine rose in a way that was nearly threatening. The human within her was unsure, but the wolf outside felt something about this wolf. She took control and composed herself before she began snarling; there was no reason to be such a way with a newcomer. Instead she stepped up to the plate and raised her tail high, ignoring how her muscles tried to tense without her permission. She looked at the male blandly and spoke. “Welcome, Loner. Why have you found yourself upon my borders?”

The inhale of air through the male's mouth made the softest of sounds among the wolf's hissing whisper, ...We don't believe, we only fear.. His heart fluttered to its casual beat, skipping once to the thunderous sounds of another, silently, yet able to be heard, crawling nearer to his own dismay. He picked up his gaze from the floor and cradled it heroically to whom followed forth from the lands he sought to wander. Lapping over his unfortunately rather chapped lips, he pried a dangerous attempt to smile, but kept it low and reasonable, less humorous then it had may of come off on. Fur ruffling at his lower backside, the muscle surrounding his build coiled and tensed to the lack of social skills he so had become immune to for the last few years or so. The isolation he chose to adapt to now became a risk to his chances, though would simply dismiss it and play the part as he would for anyone else higher than he. He'd succeed, proving far more than what his younger apparent brother ever could beneath a neighboring pack. Perhaps he had lay a better option going with that pack his brother followed, but Sebastian had sought to find one person, one individual whom claimed a life here, and so which claimed his blood to the fullest. Her youth proved little to him, she would need improvement, for she was simply that of a work in progress. She would fulfill beneath his paws if alas he step food nearest to her here. As the white fanged beauty approached his breathing space, he carried his chin to a speaking level, ears erect as they had stayed since his fashionably late arrival. His whiskey sunset eyes softened as they took in the graceful, yet strong rose's presence with all that which he could quickly mutter without daring a second glance over her incredibly beautiful form, "Your majesty.." He spoke, a voice of leather and rasp, masculine and seductive all on its own despite the fear he may of had with greeting such a dame that beheld more years than he could possess beneath a single vessel.
With haste, his softened hues lowered and his form took on a different body. That which once embodied a large wolf now claimed to be man, almost mortal but not near enough as his counterpart still reigned the darkness he bestowed inside him. A faint growl whispered from his lips before he looked her back in the eyes, matching his with her wolf's with a charming respect and gentleness he was lucky to own, even with the blood of his past following him into a dark reputation. "I am here on the behalf of family.. I go by the name of Sebastian Felix Matthews, former eldest brother to whom worked beneath a pack not far from here many years ago, whom also gave life to a child that so happens to work beneath your paws.." Perhaps he began to speak too much as to why he was here, but he was an honest man, not innocent, but he damn tried if it meant respect would be returned in his favor. More than once did he feel he was not a relative to the man claimed as Garrett, his dead sibling, for they two had not met given the fact he was murdered before he was given the chance. But his daughter was the only source of that to which led closest to his family bloodline that was still in hope of reuniting once more, to serve and protect the life he felt obliged to keep for he was unable to be a brother to the man that died too soon. He felt he owned his brother that much, causing him to continue, "I speak in wishing for protection over her, my apparent niece, Bailey Collins, daughter of an apparent Garrett R. Matthews, who by blood is my younger brother.. I beg of you, lady dearest, to give me the light to what I was unable to fulfill in giving her a guardian of trust, for I am the last of family she biologically owns. I am highly enlisted as a medicine man, whom prevails in herbs and mending of the such. Please, I ask you this.. it is all I wish for."

Re: Happy Pills - Border
Everything in the Alphess’ being froze when she heard that voice. There was something in the air around it that made her wish to melt inside simply because it was so strong, but there was something else that kept her from doing so. Instead her wolf eyes him, hackles almost raised as she felt so on edge. Oh she so hoped she wasn’t turning into a man hater, especially when she’d been telling herself that her ex hadn’t done as much damage as she thought he would. That would just be the perfect slice of cake, frosted with huge masses of sarcasm just for good measure. Inside her lupine body, she crossed her arms and let out a frustrated huff. Outside she hadn’t even moved a mere fraction of an inch other than to take the breaths necessary for her survival. Despite her utter confusion over this wereling, her tail remained upwards in its dominant position. He was stepping onto her pack lands, not the other way around. Yeah, T. Pull it together, would ya? After a few blinks, she shook herself and watched him change form. Hues the color of liquid silver bore into the warmth of the whiskey they met. When he began to speak, her ears flicked forwards while she gave him her full attention. Then, he said it. “Matthews..” her wolf whispered. “Garrett, he’s related to Garrett.” At once she shifted and became the ginger woman the outside world knew and loved. Her chin tilted down as she sized him up beneath fiery lashes. Teimhnin rubbed her hands across her thighs to relieve some moisture as her tongue swept itself over her teeth. Inside she was telling herself to be calm and to actually listen to what the man was saying, but there was another half that had set fire to all the filing cabinets and was picking through the ashes just to find a simple name. Garrett. He’d ripped everything to bits and left her to piece herself back together with an asshole of a man she had loved at some point in her life. A single flashback brought her to her battered and broken body against the wall as he took advantage of her however he had pleased. She’d watched him be ripped to shreds, but the emotional aspect of his terrorism still haunted her a time or two.
“Since we’re being honest, I can genuinely say it is half of a pleasure to meet you, Sebastian. I’m sure Bailey will be overjoyed to see you and I am happy for her. I’m also happy you’re not Garrett himself because that would have been quite odd, seeing as he was ripped apart.” Teimhnin paused as those last words hit the air. She hadn’t been meaning to say them, but she had more to console herself than anything. Sebastian was decidedly not Garrett; they didn’t even look alike. Still, that didn’t mean he couldn’t prove to be a danger for her if he knew the truth. All things aside, she decided to play the honesty card in this one. “Bailey is a good kid, and I honestly know that she wouldn’t dream of hurting anyone. Hence why I let her pass my borders at all. Her father, on the other hand, raped me and then gave me to a vampire and a past enemy to tear apart slowly. I watched as he was torn to bits and really couldn’t stop my rescuers because I was bleeding out, but I wouldn’t really have helped him anyways in all honesty.” After her confession, Teimhnin stood directly in front of him and stared him in the eye in a way that was all bite and no bark as her voice reverberated out of her throat. “I will let you cross my borders as doctor, Sebastian. I have no right to keep an uncle from his niece and vice versa. But before you even think of passing this border, I need you to understand that I have no qualms in removing you permanently from my lands if you prove to be anything like your brother. I don’t want a hair harmed on my daughter, myself, or anyone else in this small family I’ve managed to piece together bit by bit. Are we understood?” Her chin shifted forwards and locked itself with the stubborn set of her jaw as she waited for him to say something more.
